Antique Carette Tin Fountain German Steam Toy $230
This is an antique tin water fountain steam toy made in Germany by Carette. It operates by attaching the crank wheel at the side to a belt attached to your steam engine, or crank by hand. It is meant to have water in the pool, which would then spurt out of the nozzle in the fountain. I have not put water in the toy, but can feel air coming out of the nozzle. There is some paint loss throughout, as well as crazing of the paint inside the fountain pool. It measures approximately 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" and a little over 2" high overall. S223 -
Harbor Patrol Tin Litho Toy Boat by Bandai Remote Control Battery Operated $90
This is a tin litho toy Harbor Patrol boat made by Bandai. It has a battery operated remote control and a light on the top of the boat. The battery box looks very clean and may never have been used, but the wires have broken off of their soldered points (an easy fix for someone who can solder). There are minor scratches and wear. The rudder mount has some paint chipping, and the rudder has a little bit of a bend to it. It's in otherwise good condition and displays great. It's about 8" long and 3" high. M393 -
Mechanical Toy Clock with Gnomes Vintage German Tin Toy $290
This is a cute vintage clock-like toy. It features a cute woodland scene with gnomes and mushrooms, and 2 gnomes sleeping below the clock face. When you pull the string on the side the pendulum goes back and forth and the clock hands move. It's made of thin tin similar to a penny toy, and the red outer ring of the clock is marked "Made in Germany". It measures approximately 7" tall. There is some wear on the face where the pendulum has rubbed and on the edges. There is some light bending to the metal, especially on the left side. S154 -
German Windup Pecking Chicken Toy $125
This is a wind up toy chicken. While there is no markings it is very German and was most likely made by Gunthermann. When wound up it "pecks" at the ground. The wind up sometimes works sluggish and other times it slips. The paint is poor and it is flaking off when used. There is some solder repairs on the feet and mechanism. It looks like there was some bellows in it but they are not hooked up or working. It is about 4 1/2 inches tall. O678 -
Antique German Tin Wind-Up China Man Head with Plink Plink Sound $400
This is an antique wind up German tin toy. It is in the form of a head, and this one is based off a "China Man" (for lack of a more politically correct way of describing it). There is a crank on top of his head which when turned emits wonderful "plink plink" music. The only issue I can find is the heavy paint loss throughout. The plink plink works quite well and sounds great. The base is about 4" and it is about 5 1/4" high to the top of the crank handle. S218 -
American Tin Horse with Open Wagon Antique Tin Toy $145
This is an American tin horse pulling an open wagon. It is sort of a Dray type wagon. The horse has heavy paint loss, and the shaft is no longer attached to the solder point on the left side. The shafts have some heavy bends to them. There is a slight bend to the axle on the wagon. The wagon has some bends and a bit of a twist to it, and some paint loss. Some of the paint loss is more recent that the rest. This toy measures approximately 8" long and 3" high. T158 -
Carette Fountain Antique Tin Steam Toy $210
This is an antique tin steam fountain toy made by Carette. It has a pump on the side that was designed to run on a belt from a steam engine, or can be run by hand. It is a large square pool with a fountain in the center. It was made to actually pump water. I operated it by hand and I feel a faint amount of air coming out of the top, but it is intermittent and weak. I have never tried it with water, for somewhat obvious reasons. It is hand -painted and there is some paint loss, but was most likely rarely used as the paint is still in decent shape. There is a slight twist to it as it sits, and there is a crease-type dent in the base. One of the corner fences is missing a "ball". The base measures approximately 11" x 11", and about 3" high overall. S224 -
Doll et Cie Tin Water Wheel Antique German Steam Toy $230
This is an antique water wheel steam toy made by Doll et Cie of Germany. You would hook it up to the belt on your steam engine which would pump water to the chute on the side of the house and that would stream onto and turn the water wheel on the side. It can also be operated by hand. There is some paint loss throughout and some light crushing on the roof, mostly affecting the stack. There is also a dent on the back of the house on the right side, near the peak. I have not tested it with water, and cannot get into it enough to see if the pump is working. It measures approximately 7" x 7 1/4", and about 6" tall overall. S222 -

Fernand Martin French Tin Wind Up Toy Squirrel Cage $750
This is a Fernand Martin squirrel in cage wind-up toy. It is marked as made in Paris, France. It features a working wind-up that spins the wheel and makes it look like the squirrel is running inside. The squirrel is a flocked fur with a fluffy tail. There is a door on the side of the house that opens up but there is not really anything in it. The wind-up is odd when you turn it, stiff and almost unresponsive, but it does work. You may have to start it to get it going. There is some dirt type staining on it, and a black paint line drip on the side of the cage. One of the bars of the cage has some rusting on it. The squirrel's nose has some rubbing down to metal of the flocking. It measures 6" tall x 8 1/2" long. L680 -
Lee Wind Up Playground Toy Pinched Tin $150
This is a wind up playground that was made by Lee Manufacturing of Hartford CT. It has a 2 seat carousel, a swing, and 2 see saws that all move with the windup motor. It does work though the carousel does skip some as it runs off a cone drive. Included are 4 children 2 original with the magnets so they stay on the rides and one without a magnet that I think is original for the sand box. The other one is an odd ball that came to visit. There is some minor litho wear on the edges but overall it is in great shape. J681
